Dynaminisamemberofagroupofnerveterminalproteinscalleddephosphinsthatregulatesynapticvesicleendocytosis(Cousinetal.,2001;Grahametal.,2002;Tsuboietal.,2002).Thereare3knownisoformsofDynamin,eachhavingseveralsplicevariantsaswell.DynaminIisexpressedonlyinneuronswhereasDynaminIIisubiquitouslyexpressedandDynaminIIIisfoundprimarilyinthetestes.Dynamin1isphosphorylatedbyPKCanddephosphorylatedbycalcineurin.
